AV Material Preservation

This project will create a holistic preservation plan for A/V materials. This plan will include all types of media: microformats, magnetic, film, optical, etc.

Intended Outcomes

Preservation plan for A/V materials should include receiving and storage
Identify the highest-risk materials, including all types of media: micro formats, magnetic, film, optical, etc.
Develop a digitization plan for select materials, including investigating a type of virtual reading room for films
Verify that environmental conditions are satisfactory for long-term storage
