Holistic Signage Redesign

Effective wayfinding, including signage, not only enables users to find spaces, services, and other amenities quickly and easily, but in doing so, also makes them feel welcome, seen, cared for, and understood. This project aims to take an overall look at signage and wayfinding in both Geisel and WongAvery to understand and improve wayfinding, create a unified approach to signage, explore methods and solutions for wayfinding needs, and build a sustainable infrastructure for future signage needs and updates.

• Increased user satisfaction with Library navigation and wayfinding
• Reduced workload for continual signage management
• Increased accuracy/updating of sign content over time
• Reduced cost/inventory/storage of specialty paper/toner, laminating film, and adhesives
